Hariju (播重 / はり重) is located at the corner of Dotonburi and Midosuji Boulevard in Osaka since 1924. Hariju serves deluxe Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu hot pot in the Japanese style room upstairs and Western style beef steak downstairs. At the corner there are also the butcher and Gyudon beef rice eatery.
The signature dish of Hariju is the Curry Rice (カレーライス) and Beef Rice (ビーフワン 他人丼). Hariju is famous for its top quality of Wagyu. The Beef Rice is similar to a Gyudon except the beef is simmered together in a Sukiyaki Sauce and egg. For only 700Yen (A$8.5) this is really a bargain. The Wagyu is flavorsome, soft and tender!
